Leigh became involved in Babe Ruth in 1998 as a parent and spectator. In 2002 she became the league secretary in Wayne County and served in that capacity until 2010. In 2007 she stepped into the District Commissioner's position. She served as the District 8 Commissioner until 2012 when District 3 and District 8 were merged eliminating District 8.
District 3 contains the following counties: Wayne, Greene, Duplin, Sampson, Lenoir, Nash, Edgecombe, Wilson and Johnston.

Bobbi grew up playing slow pitch softball in Havelock for Little League and for Havelock Middle School, as well as her church league.
In 2003, her daughter started playing t-ball for Down East and then moved on to DEGSL. She has played softball for the past 10 years. During that time Bobbi has been involved in many areas from coaching, scorekeeping, concession, and board member. For the past 5 years she has served as President for the DEGSL.
She grew up loving softball and continues loving it. She has shown that love by now serving as the District 5 Commissioner.
District 5 contains the following counties: Portions of Onslow, and all of Jones, Craven, Pamilico, and Carteret.

Shawn became involved with Winter Park Optimist in Wilmington, NC in 2006 because his daughter was playing softball in the program. His daughter continued to play softball, and Shawn continued his involvemnt by becoming the league president in 2010. Winter Park joined Babe Ruth in 2012. Initially the area was a part of a large and stretched out District 2. After some thought and discussion it was decided to bring back a District 8 forming a district along the southeast coast. Shawn has stepped up to be the commissioner for the newly formed District 8, and he is very excited to be a part of ENC Softball.
